Salted Caramel Skillet Cookie

Preheat oven to 350 f

To a large mixing bowl add in melted butter and sugars. Mix well to smooth and combined. Next, add in the eggs and whisk till the dough starts to turn a pale color. Add in vanilla, salt baking soda and baking powder. Mix this all together and then add in flour using a spatula or wooden spoon. I like to stop mixing the dough it an electric mixer so that I have precise control over it.

Once dough has very little visual flour, throw in the chocolate chips and caramel sauce. Mix this till the chocolate is incorporated but there are still ribbons of caramel throughout the dough.

Once your batter looks well incorporated add to your cast iron skillet. Top with extra pretzels and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. serve warm- if you are not ready to serve when it comes out of the oven you can warm it up in the oven at 200 f for 15 minutes. Serve with flakey salt, more caramel and ice cream.
