Oreo and Chocolate Chip Cookie Mashup

Start by measuring out whole @Oreo cookies (1 1/3 c total). Separate the cookies from the cream and grind the cookies up well. Combine the butter with the cream filling in a large bowl, melt it, and set aside.

To a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and crushed cookies. Set aside and grab the butter and cream mixture. To that add in the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Cream together till smooth and well combined. Add in the egg and cream again.

Next, mix in the dry ingredients--I like to do this with a spatula or wooden spoon but you can mix it in with a hand mixer, just be sure not to overmix. Stop when batter comes together and is smooth. Set dough in the fridge to chill while you make the chocolate chip cookies

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars. Then add in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Cream until the batter turns a pale color (about 3 minutes). Scrape down sides, then add in the dry ingredients directly to the bowl. Again, I like to use a rubber spatula at this point, but feel free to use a hand mixer being sure not to overmix. Next, add in the chocolate chips and mix until well combined.

Preheat oven to 350°F

Now grab your @oreo cookie dough from the fridge and scoop out 1 1/2 oz. of dough. Do the same for the chocolate chip cookie dough. Separate both doughs into two parts (eyeball it, this does not have to be perfect). You should now have two @oreo dough balls and two chocolate chip cookie dough balls. Alternate the dough balls and then roll them all together creating a marbled effect. In total, this is a 3 oz. cookie. Repeat until all the dough is used up--approximately 1 1/2 dozen cookies.

Chill formed dough balls for 30 minutes. Then place 6 cookies on a cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. I like to shape my cookies with a bowl when they come out of the oven to make them perfectly round. Then eat and enjoy. Trust me, you're going to love these!
